Laxmi Cotysn commissions project to manufacture denim fabric

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Multi product textile manufacturer, Shri Lakshmi Cotysn Limited, has commissioned a project to manufacture 20 million meters of denim fabric using rope dyeing technology.

Company chairman and managing director Dr M P Aggarwal said here today that Shri Lakshmi Cotysn will produce 12 million meters of wide width sheeting using continous processing technology, six million meter bottom weight fabric and 3000 MT of terry towel per annum.

Besides optimum capacity utilization of existing production facilities consisting 24 million meters of suiting and shirting, six million meters of technical textile fabric and 1.2 million meters of quilted and embroidered fabric will also be manufactured, said Dr Agarwal.

Dr Agarwal said the garment factory at Roorkee, having capacity to produce 6.6 million garments per annum, will start functioning from April, 2008 and generate revenue of USD 40 million per annum at optimum level of capacity utilization.

The company has recently set up a garment factory at Noida with an installed capacity of 2.5 million per annum, which will start operation by last week of October and will generate revenue of 8 million USD per annum at optimum level of capacity utilization, Mr Agarwal added.
