Bhubaneswar, Oct 16 (UNI) The East Coast Railways(ECoR) has decided to run two pairs of Durga Puja special trains between Howrah- Puri and Hyderabad- Visakhapatnam to avoid rush during Durga Puja.
ECoR sources here today said the 0896 Puri-Howrah Durga Puja Special will leave Puri at 2300 hours on October 16 and 23 which would arrive at Howrah at 0910 hours the next day.
Similarly, in return direction, 0895 Howrah-Puri Durga Puja Special train will leave Howrah at 2055 hours on October 17and 24 and arrive Puri at 0600 hours the following days.
The Special Train will have one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tiers, 09 Sleeper Class Coaches, 06 General Second Class Coaches and two Guard cum luggage vans in its composition and stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur between Puri and Howrah.
In a bid to avoid extra rush during Durga Puja, the railway has decided to run two Durga Puja Special Train between Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.
The 0748 Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam Durga Puja Special Train will leave Hyderabad at 2150 hours on October 19 and will arrive Visakhapatnam at 1040 hours the next day.
In the return direction, the 0747 Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad Durga Puja Special will leave Visakhapatnam at 0730 hours on October 20 and arrive Hyderabad at 0840 hours the next day.
The ECoR has also decided to revise the composition 2892/2891 Bhubaneswar-Baripada-Bhubaneswar tri-weekly Superfast Express with effect from October19 from Bhubaneswar and October 20 from Baripada.
The tri-weekly Superfast Express will now run with six Second Class Chair Cars and two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its revised composition. The train has one AC- 2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 10 sleeper class coaches, two General Second Class Coaches and two Guard cum Luggage vans.
