BSP for separate Bundelkhand
Sagar, MP, Oct 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Small Industry Minister Badshah Singh today said that this region's development would be possible only if a separate Bundelkhand state was created.
''Bahujan Samaj Party President and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati favours this and it will be a poll issue in this state's next Assembly elections. Bundelkhand has been backward since independence as it is divided between two states,'' BSP's Madhya Pradesh incharge said here while addressing a BSP regional convention.
The BSP favours reservation for impoverished people of the general category, the visiting leader added. BSP state President Bhujbal Singh Ahirwar also spoke on the occasion.
