Dehradun, Oct 16 (UNI) P V Sindu, N Siki Reddy and B Sai Praneeth, all from Andhra Pradesh today clinched the 21st Sub-Junior National Badminton Championship-2007 Single titles in their respective categories.
Meanwhile three doubles titles also went to AP.
In the final of Girls Under-13 single title clash, Sindu proved far better against her statemate and second seed Manisha as she easily prevailed over her in a straight set of 21-9, 21-9.
In yet another one sided final N Siki Reddy thrashed Maharastra's Prajakta 21-9,21-16 to lift the Single title of Girls Under-16 catagory.
Medal tally went up for Andhra Pradesh when top seed Praneeth proved too good for 6th seed Sameer Verma of Madhya Pradesh and trounced him 21-5, 21-13 in the final of Boys Under-16 Group.
In the Doubles too AP shutlers Sindhu and Manisha easily sailed pass their statemates Sudha and Jamuna 21-11, 21-14 to lift the Girls Under-13 title. The Girls Under-16 Doubles title also went to Andhra's company of N Siki Reddy and P Lavanya as they prevailed over MP's duo Prajakta and Vijeta 21-12, 21-14. Meanwhile Andhra's top seed double partner Rohit and Santosh faceD some stiff resistance from their statemate unseed Sai Tanuj and Sai Ajith when the later displaying a fine combination and coordination won the first set 21-19.
However the top seed duo not losing their temperament prevailed in the second set by 21-15. Maintaining the tempo and understanding, both Rahit and santosh exhibited flare of tight placing and sharp shots and drops in the third and final set and won it 21-13 to clinch the Boys Under-13 Doubles title.
