Bangalore, Oct 16 (UNI) Low cost airliner Air Deccan has put in place a new booking and cancellation policy from October 12, allowing greater ticketing flexibility to passengers while retaining the advantage of affordable fares.
The company, in a release here today, said the new policy had been given effect on the basis of feedback from the passengers.
Air Deccan Officiation CEO Ramkrishnan Sundaram said the improved on time performance (OTP) of Air Deccan had led to a steady increase in corporate travellers flying with it and their concern for greater ticketing flexibility had been taken into account while implementing the new policy.
Passengers could now reschedule their flight, the sector, the route and the date of travel with payment of a rescheduling fee and fare difference, up to two hours prior to flight departure. The rescheduling fee had been slashed to Rs 500 per passenger per journey, the release said.
Passengers wishing to cancel their ticket would be entitled to an Open Ticket in the name of the passenger. The Open Ticket was equivalent to the cost of the ticket after a deduction of Rs 500 and would be valid for a period of 180 days from the date of issue and could be redeemed for travel on any Air Deccan sector, it added.
