Air Deccan announces new booking cancellation policy

Bangalore, Oct 16 (UNI) Indian Low cost airliner Air Deccan has put in place a new booking and cancellation policy from October 12.

The Company in a release here today said that the new policy has been enforced on the basis of feedback from the passengers.

Air Deccan Officiation CEO Ramkrishnan Sundaram said in the release that the improved on time performance (OTP) of Air Deccan had led to a steady increase in corporate travelers flying with it and their concern for greater ticketing flexibility had been taken into account while implementing the new policy.

The new cancellation policy provides greater ticketing flexibility to passengers while retaining the advantage of affordable fares.

Passengers could reschedule their the flight, the sector, the route and the date of travel with payment of a rescheduling fee and a fare difference, up to two hours prior to flight departure. The rescheduling Fee has been slashed to Rs.500 per passenger per journey the release aid.

Passengers wishing to cancel their ticket would be entitled to an Open Ticket in the name of the passenger. The Open Ticket was equivalent to the cost of the ticket after a deduction of Rs.500 and would be valid for a period of 180 days from the date of issue and could be redeemed for travel on any Air Deccan sector.
