Thousands throng Tirumala for Brahmotsavam
Tirumala, Oct 15(UNI) Thousands of devotees worshipped Sri Malayappa Swamy, along with His Consorts, when the deities mounted on 'Kalpa Vrisha Vahanam', were taken around the four mada streets of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple, on the fourth day of the nine-day Brahmotsavam here today.
With caparisoned elephants in front, pundits recited vedic hymns even as women clad in colourful dresses performed 'kolatam' as part of the procession.
Meanwhile, TTD Deputy Executive Officer (Reception-I) Srinivasulu told reporters that it collected Rs 6,16,390 as cottage allotment charges during the last three days of the festival.
