Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) Expressing dissatisfaction over the BSP's ''anti-people policies'' in Uttar Pradesh, the opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) today staged a tehsil level protest in the state.
SP state secretary S R S Yadav said here '' the party has staged an agitation against the 'anti-people' policies of the Mayawati regime.'' ''The law and order situation has only worsened under the BSP rule in UP.'' Flaying the Mayawati government for ''trapping'' SP leaders in fake cases, Mr Yadav said, '' The CM is trying to discourage our party workers by imposing false claims.'' '' The CM has rendered unemployed thousands of youth by annulling the recruitment of several policemen, PAC and radio police operators.'' Lambasting Ms Mayawati for ending the Kanya Vidyadhan Yojana and unemployment allowance for youth, Mr Yadav said, '' She is misutilising the money of general public by spending it on Ambedkar ground and Rama Bai ground.'' Barring Azamgarh and Ballia, the party staged protest in almost 280 tehsils of 68 districts.
The SP would agitate on October 16 and 24 in Ballia and Azamgarh districts respectively, he informed.
