Hyderabad, Oct 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said thorough investigations were on into reported similarities between Ajmer Sharif Dargah Blast and the May 18 Mecca Masjid Explosion here.
Talking to newspersons after inaugurating the Crime Investigation Department (CID) Building Complex here, he said a special team from Rajasthan had already arrived here to hold investigations.
He said the state police were also investigating into the possible links between the two blasts.
However, he termed as ''presumption'' the Hyderabad link for every terror incident in the country saying terrorism was not confined to only one place. It was a national and an international problem.
About the possible involvement of Hyderabad-based Syed Saleem who died in the Ajmer Blast, the Home Minister said the state police had no details about it.
The government was probing the incident. If it was proved that he has no role in the blast, it would take up with Rajasthan Government the payment of Rs five lakh ex-gratia the payment of which was stopped after news of Saleem's involvement started doing the rounds, he said.
