Huge recoveries during raid at Drug Controller's residence
Patna, Oct 15 (UNI) The Vigilance sleuths traced huge property and cash during a raid, which continued since morning at the residence of Bihar Drug Controller Y K Jayaswal in connection with Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
Official sources said here that the DA case was registered against Mr Jayaswal this year and the raid was a long drawn process.
Giving details of the recoveries, the sources said doccuments revealing investment of about Rs 23 lakh, doccuments of bonds, Kisan vikas patra, papers of Rs 25 lakh of the insurance policies, papers showing shop in Harniwas and an office space in verma centre Rs 7 lakh cash, jewelleries worth Rs over Rs 8 lakh and five Bank lockers were found during the raid.
Apart from this, doccuments of some plots and a house in the state capital were found, informed the sources.
The lockers would be operated once the keys were available.
The sources further said a plot was also traced in Sonpura in Uttar Pradesh, the native place of Mr Jayaswal.
