Fresh spurt in efforts to delay Bhutto's return

Pakistan
government
has
expedited
efforts
to
get
former
prime
minister
Benazir
Bhutto's
comeback
postponed,
according
to
media
reports.
President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have already recommended the Pakistan People's Party chief to delay her return which was scheduled for October 18.
The News quoted some reliable sources as saying that some ''significant meetings'' are expected in the next few hours to decide on the issue.
A latest development in this connection is that Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Chief Makhdoom Amin Fahim has arrived here after meeting Miss Bhutto in Dubai.
According to sources, Mr Amin Fahim is on a short visit to Islamabad and soon he will leave for Dubai again.
Mr Amin Fahim is expected to accompany the PPP chairperson on her return to the country.
