Ludhiana, Oct 15 (UNI) Industrialists and employers of those killed and injured in the Shingar cinema bomb explosion last night have not yet come forward to the aid of the victims.
The dead and injured were all migrant labourers who had come to this industrial town to earn their livelihood.
However not a single industrialist turned up to express solidarity with their employees, many of whom do not even have any relative to care for them in hospital.
The Punjab government however has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs two lakh to the families of each of the six persons who died in the blast. The government has also decided to bear all expenses of the injured who are admitted in the CMC hospital or the civil hospital here.
As a goodwill gesture, the CMC authorities have decided to provide free medical aid to the injured.
