DPDC approves Rs 9860.85 lakh outlay for Kolhapur for 2008-09

Kolhapur, Oct 15 (UNI) The District Planning and Development Council (DPDC) has approved an annual outlay of Rs 9860.85 lakh for the year 2008-2009 for Kolhapur district.

District guardian minister Harshwardhan Patil told reporters here today that Rs 5500 lakh has been proposed for general schemes, while Rs 4353 lakh for special component scheme.

About 39 per cent of the budgeted amount has been spent on general schemes while 40 per cent on special component scheme under the approved plan for 2007-2008. The remaining amount would be spent by March end, he informed.

The DPDC has also approved a proposal to set up more primary health centres in the rural areas as well as develop eleven sports complexes at the tehsil levels in the district, he added.
