BHEL secures Rs 150 cr order in UAE
Mumbai, Oct 15 (UNI) India's largest power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has received an export order worth Rs 150 crore (USD 38 million) for supplying two gas turbine generating units of 42 MW each, to an United Arab Emirates (UAE) based company.
The order was placed by Al Ghail Power LLC, a company wholly-owned by Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), BHEL said here today in statement.
The Middle-East is one of BHEL's key export regions, where it has so far set up 14 power projects, apart from substations and supply of a host of equipment for the power and the oil and gas sectors.
BHEL aims to increase its overall exports by six times by 2012, it added.
