Srinagar, Oct 15 (UNI) Three members of a family and two soldiers were wounded while security forces apprehended three militants of Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, an official spokesman said today.
He said a group of armed men barged into the house of one Mohammad Ashraf Mir, a contractor by profession at Rawalpora Beerwah in Budgam district last night and opened indiscriminate fire.
Mohammad Ashraf, his wife Raja Bagum and daughter Tuzula Akhtar were wounded in the firing.
The injured were admitted to hospital, he said.
Militants attacked an army patrol at Kainer in Reasi district last evening, the fire was retaliated and in the shootout two army jawans were wounded.
The jawans -- Naib Subedar Malsuma and Sepoy Sonaweth-- were immediately shifted to Udhampur base hospital, he said.
However, militants managed to escape from the scene, he said, adding a massive hunt has been launched to nab them.
The spokesman said security forces apprehended three militants of LeT from Patimhala in Kishtwar district last night and seized three AK rifles, one hand grenade and 65 rounds from their possession.
