Shimoga (Karnataka), Oct 14: BJP leader and former deputy chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today ruling out 'remarriage' with JD(S), demanded that the mid-term polls in Karnataka along with Gujarat.
Speaking to media persons at his native town Shikaripur, about 50 km from here, he said that he party would prefer a fresh mandate from the people of the State and the time for a 'remarriage' with JD(S) was over.
"There is no question of a realliance with JD(S) and our demand is that elections be held together for both Gujarat and Karnataka.
Mr Yediyurappa denied reports that he had held 'secret' talks with Mr Kumaraswamy last night. "I want to clearly tell the people of the State that BJP has parted ways with the JD(S) and there will not be be any realliance," he said.
He said the second phase of the campaign against JD(S)' 'betrayal' of the BJP, would be taken out from Haveri tomorrow.
