Lucknow, Oct 13 (UNI) Denouncing the Samajwadi Party (SP), Samajwadi Kranti Dal (SKD) president Beni Prasad Verma today levelled serious charges on SP supremo and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, alleging he had been successful in preventing the CBI from lodging an FIR in the disproportionate assets case through his ''agent''.

''On directions of the Supreme Court, the CBI has completed its probe in the disproportionate assets case. On Lohiaji's death anniversary yesterday, the CBI was supposed to lodge an FIR against Mr Yadav. But, his agent got the action procrastinated through the influence of money and power,'' the SKD leader charged.

''The agent is leaving no stone unturned to get the case ended and the SP is ready to sacrifice anything for the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections,'' he added.

''Ms Sonia Gandhi is the sixth most influencial lady in the world. Mr Yadav should not forget that she did not even forgive her close family friend accused in the oil scam. The SP supremo should not even dream of forgiveness. Nothwithstanding showing fake emotions for Congress, he would have to go under CBI custody,'' the SKD chief underlined.

Meanwhile, criticising Mr Verma's remarks, the SP said he should ''think before speaking'' as his image in politics at present was only of a 'dalal' of both AICC president Sonia Gandhi and UP Chief Minister Mayawati.
