Hooda congratulates Special Olympics winner Vikas Rana

Chandigarh, Oct 13 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has congratulated Vikas Rana of Kallanur town of Rohtak district for winning the silver and bronze medal in swimming competition held in 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games, Shanghai, China, from October 2 to 11.

The Chief Minister who is in Washington, made a call to the family members of the winner and said that Vikas Rana would appropriately be honoured as per the Sports Policy of the state government for bringing laurels to the state as well as country.

The 24-year-old champion of silver and bronze medal is deaf and dumb by birth. Players from 150 countries participated in the Special Olympics Games.
