Mysore, Oct 13 (UNI) Visitors at the flower show here had a wonderful time to watch a 'flower remake' of Nandi (sacred bull) atop of the Chamundi Hills on the first day of the Dasara festivities.

Decorator M Klidasa used 40,000 roses of different hues for its creation. The show was jointly organised by the Department of Horticulture and Mysore District Horticulture Society.

A horse drawn cart (tonga) made of flowers, various types of flower decorations, lotus flowers and 35,000 pots were arranged.

The best varieties of horticultural plants would be displayed in the coming days to create awareness on growing such plants.

Flowers arranged in Japanese style, flower rangoli and vegetable carvings were some of the other attractions.

Individuals, educational institutions, government offices, industrial houses, hotels, police stations and Central Government offices would also participate in the exhibition.
