Vice-President, leaders attend iftar party hosted by Josh

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Vice-President Hamid Ansari and a host of cabinet ministers attended the Iftar party hosted by National Commission for Minorities(NCM) member Harcharan Singh Josh here for Muslim brethern.

Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, Union Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar, Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed and Minister of New and Renewable Energy Vilas Muttemwar were present at the party hosted last evening, besides a cross section of eminent people from various walks of life.

Others present included former Bihar governor Buta Singh, Rajya Sabha member Tarlochan Singh, former NCM chairman Tahir Mahmood, National Women Commission Chairperson Girja Vyas, NCM Chairman Shafi Qureshi and NCM members Dileep Padgaonkar and Zoya Hasan.

Several ministers and leaders from the Delhi government like Vidhan Sabha Speaker Prem Singh, Transport Minister Haroon Yusuf, Industry Minister Mangat Ram Singhal and members of CWC and secretaries of AICC also attended the party.

Besides them, about 30 diplomats from Muslim and other countries like of the United States, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Iraq and Africa also attended the Iftar Party. Many members of NGOs and other institutions were also present at the party.
