Bangalore, Oct 12 (UNI) Kannada Vatal Paksha leader Vatal Nagaraj, MLA today staged black flag protest today against imposition of president rule in Karnataka.

As soon as Governor Rameshwar Thakur arrived at Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat, to address top officials of the government, Vatal Nagaraj waved black flag and shouted slogans against the imposition of president's rule in the state.

Terming the Governor recommending President's rule in the State without taking any initiative to install a popular government as most 'Undemocratic', Mr Nagaraj criticised Mr Rameshwar Thakur for taking over Chief Minister's chamber instead of functioning from Rajbhavan.

Mr Nagaraj also waived black-flag when Governor came out from his chamber to preside a high-level meeting of senior officials.

Earlier Karnataka Governor was received at Vidhana Soudha by senior officials including Chief Secretary P B Mahishi and other senior police officials.
