Tributes paid to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia in Bihar

Patna, Oct 12 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid rich tributes to veteran socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia on his 41st anniversary of death.

Mr Kumar, along with his cabinet colleague Narendra Singh, Patna Citizens' council vice-president Bhola Prasad Singh, MLCs Sanjay Singh and Prof Aslam Azad, offered floral tributes to the statue of Dr Lohia near the GPO here.

Various functions were organised at the offices of the RJD, LJP, JD(U) and other political parties to mark the occasion.

Besides, functions were organised to pay homage to the socialist leader at various district headquarters and other parts of the state.

Leaders from various political backgrounds, social workers and other dignitaries pledged to follow the principles and ideology of Dr Lohia on the occasion.
