Sudesh, Sushat, Sarjana skate to glory in Johal Gold Cup

Chandigarh, Oct 12 (UNI) Sudesh of Delhi skated to glory by winning the Under-10 boys Inline skates event on the opening day of the All India Open Sardar Sewa Singh Johal Memorial Roller Skating Gold Cup Championship held at Banyan Tree School here today. Harvir Singh and Paramveer, both from Punjab, finished second and third, respectively.

In above 16 years boys event, Sushant of Uttar Pradesh cornered glory by winning the 300 metres Rink Race I. Manik (Haryana) and Ishan (Punjab) secured silver and bronze, respectively.

Meanwhile in Under-10 girls Inline skates race, Sarjana gave Chandigarh gold medal by touching the finishing line first.

shanpreet Kaur and Parneet Kaur (both from Punjab) secured second and third positions, respectively.

Earlier, DSP Jagbir Singh inaugurated the tournament in which more than 300 skaters in different age groups are taking part.
