Punj Lloyd bags 389 cr contract from Qatar Petroleum
Mumbai, Oct 12: Punj Lloyd has secured a Rs 389-crore contract to construct a multi-product pipeline from Qatar Petroleum on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis.
The Company has told the Bombay Stock Exchange that the project will be completed within 17 months.
The contract also involves the station work at Messaieed refinery and Doha depot, including demolition.
Punj Lloyd has earlier executed three projects in Qatar -- the Doha Urban Pipeline Relocation project, the Ras Laffan Messaieed Ethylene and Butane pipeline projectr, and the fuel systems for the New Doha International Airport.
With this, the order backlog of Punj Lloyd group on consolidated basis has gone up to Rs 16,872.46 crore. This is the total value of unexecuted orders as of June 30, 2007 and new orders received till date, a Company press release here said.
