New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Surya Food and Agro Ltd, manufacturer of Priyagold biscuits, today announced its foray into the carbonated drink segment with 'Fresh Fizzy'.
''The drink will compete in the carbonated fruit drink segment.
The market is estimated to be about Rs 150-200 crore and is growing at 40 per cent per annum,'' said company CMD B P Agarwal.
An investment of Rs 15 crore has been made for the drink, he said adding that the drink will be produced its Surajpur plant (in Greater Noida). The plant's capacity will be one lakh litres a day.
Fresh Fizzy will be available in two flavours--orange and apple.
''We will introduce more flavours with time as the market matures,'' Mr Agarwal said.
The drink will be marketed in northern India followed by Western and Southern parts. The company is eyeing the retail giants for gaining a major market share.
The drink will be available in 250 ml, 500 ml and one litre packs priced at Rs 15, Rs 25 and Rs 45 respectively.
The company is also gearing up for a major expansion. With a current turnover of Rs 325 crores, it is targeting Rs 400 crores by the next fiscal.
