Monsoon was weak over the state

Bangalore, Oct 12 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over the State.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Karkala recorded 4 cm rainfall.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Interior Karnataka. Minimum temperatures rose at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, however below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and remained normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.1 Degree Celsius and Mysore recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.5 Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Mainly dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Mainly dry weather may prevail over all the districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Maximum&minimum temperatures would be around 31 Degree Celsius and 20 Degree Celsius respectively.
