Mohit to meet Rohit in final

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Second seed Mohit Mayur had to dig deep into his reserves before getting past Siddharth Rawat 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the Under-14 semi-finals to set up a summit class with top seed Rohit Bisht in the DSCL National junior tennis championship here today.

Mohit was affected by his inconsistent game against Rawat and fought tooth and nail to win the second set after losing the first.

But, once into the decider, Mohit was on a better footing as he played with more freedom and got service breaks at will to walk away with a the win.

In the second semi-final in the Under-14 section, top seed Rohit Bisht did not have to sweat much in getting past Ronit Bisht 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.

Rohit's strength is his consistency and good temperament.

And in a big match, Rohit made sure he did not play anything which was risky and won the battle in straight sets.

In Girls' Under-14, tenth seed Ratnika Batra continued with her good run and beat seventh seed Ankita Raina 6-0, 7-6 (7/4).

In the final tomorrow, Ratnika will face second seed Natasha Palha who downed Sweta Rana 6-3, 7-6 (7/3).
