Local engineers deamand security after abduction of NTPC employee
Godda, Oct 12 (UNI) Shaken over the abduction of three persons, including a National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) engineer, Eastern Coal Field's (ECL) Lalmatia mines engineers have sought adequate security at their workplace.
A delegation comprising local unit of Coal Mines Officers Association of India (CMOAI) today met H K Mishra, Inspector General (IG) of Santhal Pargana, here and handed over him a memorandum in this regard.
The CMOAI in his memorandum mentioned about a series of incidents, which took place in the past few years.
CMOAI Rajmahal unit president S K Singh said the area had become insecure and recent abduction of NTPC engineer Divyajyoti Acharaya, and two others Subrato Dam and Motiul Ansari had created panic among the people.
They were kidnapped on October six from Lohandia locality under Lalmatia police station in this district.
Meanwhile, investigation was on and raids were being conducted to trace out abductors, the IG told the delegation.
