Pune, Oct 12 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been subdued in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalseema.
Heavy rains have occurred at a few places in Kerala. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Jharkhand, Bihar and Gujarat.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in north Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, north Chattisgarh, and were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal in Gujarat and in some parts of north Madhya Maharashtra.
