HC stays bulldozing of govt bunglow for Kanshiram rest house
Lucknow, Oct 12 (UNI) The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court today stayed the razing of the government bunglow, which was earlier alloted to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, for the construction of Kanshiram rest house in the state capital.
Passing this order, the HC snubbed the Mayawati government and observed ''no one has the right to bulldoze government bunglows.'' The order was passed by Justices Pradeep Kant and Ranvijay Singh on a petition filed by advocates Prashant Chandra and Sudeep Seth on behalf of Ashok Yadav Dev.
The BSP government had planned a scheme to raze government bunglow number 13 A at the posh Mall Avenue area of the city to construct Manyawar Kanshiram rest house. The bunglow was alloted to Mayawati as the former state CM, which at present is vacant.
The next hearing would be on October 30.
