Bangalore, Oct 12 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur, who assumed office at Vidhana Soudha following the imposition of President's rule, took over the administration of the state today.
Speaking at a top level officials' meeting, he instructed the officials to give thrust to the implementation of various development works which was in progress.
According to official sources, the Governor took stock of various programmes and development plans and instructed them to focus on implementing them in a time-bound manner.
Urging the officials to discharge their duties in accordance with the rules and procedures, he also reportedly cautioned them against taking any decisions, which were legally not sanctioned.
Speaking to newspersons after the meeting, the Governor said he would discharge duties as a representative of President of India and give top priority to state's overall development.
