Governor Krishna greets people on Eid

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna today extended his greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

In his message, released by the Raj Bhavan here today, Mr Krishna said, ''Ramzan is the holiest month that lays emphasis on self-purification and good deeds. The festival reminds us of the noble teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed to look beyond oneself and care for people.'' ''On the joyous occasion of Eid, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all the people. May the festival of Eid bring joy and and happiness to one and all,'' the Governor's message added.
