Garden exhibition in temple town

Tirumala, Oct 12 (UNI) Variety of flowers skillfully displayed, commemorating different figures, objects and various episodes of Sri Venkatachala Mahathyam, are displayed at the Garden Exhibition, which commenced here today.

TTD trust Board Chairman B Karunkara Reddy and EO K V Ramanachary inaugurated the exhibition, which was organised by TTD.

Floral arrangements in the form of a peacock in glittering hues perched on a rock, adiseshu (the multi-headed serpent God) etc were the cynosure of all eyes.

One particular episode from Venkatachala Mahathym, the scene where Lord Siva and Lord Brahma were taking the forms of a cow and calf offering milk to Lord Mahavishnu hidden in an anthill, stood out from the rest.

Later, Karunakara Reddy and Ramanachary had also inaugurated a photo exhibition in Tirumala.

It displayed photographs of the first motor vehicle in Tirumala, construction of the ghat road, doli carriers, different therthams on seshachalam hills, various dignitaries like Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy and Indira Gandhi who had visited the teple town.

The garden and photo exhibitions would be opened to the public upto October 20, the concluding day of Brahmotsavam.
