Ajmer, Oct 12 (UNI) Police today detained ten people for questioning in connection with yesterday's blast at the shrine of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti.
District Police Superintendent S Sangathir said ten people have been taken in custody for interrogation and security beefed up in the shrine.
Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service and all steps taken to sanitise the area, he added.
Meanwhile, normalcy returned to the town with religious activities taking place under tight security this morning.
An abandoned bag found at the 'Bulandh Darwaza' triggered panic but the security forces ruled out the possibility of explosive materials in the bag.
Two people were killed and 18 others injured in the blast which occurred at the Ahata-e-Noor, the courtyard outside the burial ground of the 13th century saint, at around 1815 hrs shortly after the roza 'iftar' yesterday.
