Pune, Oct 11 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active in Assam and Meghalaya and subdued in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra and Goa states, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
In the regions from where the southwest monsoon withdrawal has taken place, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Madhya Pradesh and were above normal in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and of Jammu and Kashmir.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Madhya Pradesh and were below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal in some parts of Gujarat region and normal over the rest of the region.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu and kashmir, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over the Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
Heavy rains have occurred at isolated places in Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh and at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Gujarat and Lakshadweep.
