Giridih, Oct 11 (UNI) Former Union Minister and president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Sibu Soren appeared before a local court here today in a three-decade-old Kudko killing case.
Soren was produced before the court of First Class District and Sessions Judge Radha Mohan Tiwary in connection with the killing of three people at Kudko under Peertand police station in the district on April 14, 1974.
According to sources, no witness was produced by the prosecution during the hearing.
The court fixed December 1 as the next date of hearing.
At present, the case was under process of recording witness' statement. So far, the statement of six people had been recorded out of total 18 witnesses of the case.
About 10 people, including Soren, were made accused in the case while eight of them had been acquitted. One of the accused have died.
