Silver, Gold close firm on bullish global advice

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Precious metals closed firm for the second consecutive day today with Silver up modestly by Rs 25 per kg and gold by 45 per ten gm on sustained brisk seasonal ornament makers demand, induced by encouraging advice from global and upcountry markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,160 (18,135) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,525 (9,480) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,575 (9,530).
