Sheila meets Sonia over Blueline accidents

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Under fire from several quarters following Sunday's horrific Blueline accident which killed eight people and injured nine others, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today met Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence.

The CM office described the ten- minute meeting as a routine one.

However, steps taken by the Delhi Government to tackle the Blueline menace after the accident on Sunday near Badarpur, is understood to have figured in the discussions.

Following the accident, the state Government has come under flak from several quarters with many calling for withdrawing Bluelines from Delhi's roads.

Some of the statements reportedly given by the Chief Minister after Sunday's accident have ruffled many feathers.

The Chief Minister is understood to have given clarification on these statements, in one of which she is alleged to have advised pedestrians to walk carefully to avoid accidents.
