New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The Supreme Court will hear a petition seeking transfer of Nitish Katara murder case on October 29 outside Delhi, preferably Tamil Nadu.

The petition filed by the main accused in the case Vikas Yadav and his cousin Vishal Yadav was mentioned today before a bench, comprising Justices Ashok Bhan and V S Sirpurkar, for urgent hearing.

The two petitioners have been facing trial for the alleged murder of Nitish Katara as they were opposed to his affair with Bharati Yadav, sister of Vikas Yadav.

The petitioners, in their transfer petition, have alleged that free and fair trial was not possible in Delhi as the trial court was biased against the accused who were being subjected to media trial.

The trial was transferred form Ghaziabad to Delhi by the Supreme Court on a petition filed by Neelam Katara, mother of the deceased who contended that no advocate in Ghaziabad was prepared to accept her brief because of the fear of former Rajya Sabha member D P Yadav, a terror in Ghaziabad.

D P Yadav is the father of main accused Vikas Yadav.

The petitioners have also alleged that the complainant in the case Neelam Katara is an influential lady.

Vikas Yadav has been serving four year imprisonment in Jessica Lal murder case for trying to destroy evidence.
