Police misbehave with female journalist outside 'Prateeksha'

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Police today allegedly misbehaved with a female journalist who had joined the huge crowds and media persons gathered outside ''Prateeksha'' to catch a glimpse of mega Amitabh Bachchan on his 65th birthday today.

However, no formal complaint has been lodged in this regard, a police official said.

Meanwhile, traffic was disrupted because of the huge crowd gathered outside ''Prateeksha'' in Juhu here. Fans had come from far and wide, and waited outside ''Prateeksha'', the Big B's residence.

Amitabh Bachchan did not disappoint his fans and the superstar came out and shook hands with them. The fans had come prepared in their own ways to greet the Big B on his birthday, one of them had written a poem for him while another had come wearing a KBC T-shirt.

Big B, however, is not having any ostentatious celebrations as his mother Teji Bachchan is critically ill and has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital, here in Mumbai, for the past several months.

Star Gold, a movie channel, is celebrating Big B's birthday with ''Jabardast Janamdin'' where they have held a 36-hour non-stop marathon of Bachchan's films stared yesterday.
