Bangalore, Oct 11 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Monsoon was weak over Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over South Interior Karnataka. Dharmasthala recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Karkala 5; Mudibidre, Kalghatgi 2 each.
Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka&South Interior Karnataka and above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka. Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were below normal at a few places over Interior Karnataka and remained normal over Coastal Karnataka.
Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 35.2 degree celsius and Chitradurga recorded lowest minimum temperature of 17.8 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
