Shimla, Oct 11 (UNI) Centry old traditional four-day long Lavi fair will be held at Rampur Bushahr from November 14, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Tarun Kapoor today said.
Reviewing a meeting called to take stock of the preparations for the fair at Rampur Bushahr, he asked the members of the organising committee to complete all preparations on time.
Mr Kapoor said that Lavi fair was one of the famous fair not onloy in the state but the entire northern region due to its commercial significance.
A horse show has been added to this fair in 1984 and since then Chamurthi horses of Pin valley of Spiti had become the center of attraction for horse lovers, he said .
This year horse exhibition would be rganized from November 4 to 6 in rampur college ground,last year ,450 horses were registered and horses worth Rs 15 lakh were sold during the fair,he added.
