Gliding camps to be held from Oct 23 to Dec 9

Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department has decided to organize camps for training youth in gliding at the civil aviation institutes at Hisar and Pinjore from October 23 to December 9.

The camps would be organized at Civil Aviation Institute, Hisar, for the youth of Gurgaon, Rohtak and Hisar Divisions and at Pinjore (Basolla) for the youth of Ambala Division a spokesman of the department said today.

As many as 40 boys and 40 girls from each division and eight boys and eight girls from each district would participate in the camp.

The camps would be held for five-days for each Division.

The camps for girls from Gurgaon division would be held from October 24 to 28, from Rohtak Division from October 29 to November 2, from Hisar Division from November 3 to 7 and from Ambala Division from December 5 to 9.

Similarly, boys' camps would be organized from November 12 to 16 for Gurgoan Division, from November 17 to 21 for Rohtak Division, from November 22 to 26 for Hisar Division and from November 30 to December 4 for Ambala division.

The spokesman said that youth in the age group of 18 to 30 could participate in the camp. The youth should be physically fit and necessary directions had been issued to the District Sports and Youth Affairs for the selection of youth to participate in the camp.
