Four awards constituted for visually challenged

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) On the World Sight Day today, the Nagpur-based Central India Research Institute and Management Sciences (CRIMS) today announced the institution of four awards to recognise the achievements of visually challenged people.

Along with media house 'Hitavada,' the CRIMS would be giving the Sant Surdas award in recognition of an exemplary achievement of a visually challenged person.

Sant Gulabrao Mastery Award would be given for an extraordinary achievement in the field of technology, education, community development, human rights's. For achievements in sports arena Bhakt Kannappa Award has been constituted. The ABDKS's award would be given to any individual or institute working for all round development of the visually challenged.

Each award carries a cash reward of Rs 25,000. The eligible candidates are expected to submit their applications to the Institute, giving all details. The last date for receiving applications is December 31.
