Chennai, Oct 11 (UNI) A Metropolitan Magistrate today dismissed as withdrawn, a cheque bounce case against Bollywood actor and BJP MP Dharmendra and his actor-son Sunny Deol.

When the case came up for hearing before Magistrate C Thirumagal, the complainant appeared in person and filed a petition seeking to withdraw the complaint.

In his complaint, R Bhagavandoss Bajaj, proprietor of Sheela Enterprises and Associates, had submitted that in April 2006, Ajay Singh Deol, on behalf of his company Sunny Sounds, had borrowed Rs ten lakh to complete a Hindi film titled ''Big Brother'' and had promised to repay the amount after the movie was released.

However, the two cheques each for Rs five lakh, issued by Mr Deol had returned as the account holder had made a stop payment request.

Following this, Bajaj sent a legal notice on June six to the directors of the company, which also included actor Dharmendra.

The court had on September 12 issued summonses to the father-son duo, directing them to appear before the court today.

The court accepted the complainant's petition and dismissed the case as withdrawn.
