Sagar, MP, Oct 11 (UNI) A central team would survey the drought situation in Madhya Pradesh and the centre would extend financial assistance on receiving the assessment report from the state government, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria said here today.

''About 15 to 20 districts in the state were drought-affected and assessment of crop loss was in progress. After getting a report from the state government, the Centre would make its own assessment to extend drought relief'', Mr Bhuria told reporters on the sidelines of the convocation of Deputy Superintendents of Police at Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy here.

Replying to a question, he said there was no threat to the UPA government on the nuclear agreement issue. The nuclear deal with US was in the country's interest and the controversy would soon be sorted out, he added.
