New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education today announced the 16th All India Essay competition on Road Safety and the 11th All India Essay competition on Vehicular pollution.
Students from Class eight and twelve can participate in the competition that will be conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways.
The theme for the Road Safety Essay competition is ''Disciplined Driving is the only Road to human Safety'' and for the Vehicular Pollution easssy competition -- ''Prevent Vehicular Pollution than Cure''.
Both the competitions are of three hour duration. Schools have been instructed to conduct the competition on any day in the last week of October and send the essays by November 8 to the regional offices of CBSE.
The Board will award three cash prizes -- Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 to the winners in each language and category.
