AP Govt committed to implement GO 610

Hyderabad, Oct 11 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh govenment was committed to implement G0 610, House Committee Chairman Uttam Kumar Reddy said today.

The committee enthrusted with the task to monitor the implementation of G0 610, which met here, recommended to the government to bring Corporations and the Universities under the purview of the order.

Stating that the GO was being implemented in Irrigation, the APSRTC, Singareni collieries and Command Area Development, Mr Reddy said the committee had already asked the heads of the departments to provide sufficient information on local and non-local category to speed up the process of implemention.

However, the Opposition Telugu Desam Party leader T Devender Goud and Telangana Rastra Samithi MLA Harish Rao alleged that the government was resorting to delaying tactics to implement the GO, citing lack of information from some departments.

Congress MLA P Janardhana Reddy suggested that the government should convene a meeting of all the three panels of Cabinet sub committee, Officers committee and House committee to speed up the process.
