Tatkal scheme for second class sitting accommodation
Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) The tatkal ticket scheme in trains would be extended to second class sitting-accommodation with effect from October 31, according to the South Central Railway.
Tatkal charges of Rs 15 would be collected from the passenger during peak and non-peak seasons. Ten per cent of the total number of seats would be reserved for tatkal in in second class sitting in trains running during day time, a SCR release said today.
The unreserved general ticket would be available three days prior to the journey, thereby avoiding the last moment rush at the booking counters, the release said.
The facility could be availed at all Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) counters as well as MMTS railway stations in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, it added.
