Munger, Oct 10 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today said his ministry was committed to ushering a new era of development in Bihar and several projects had been cleared in this regard.

Addressing a function here to mark the extension of Jamalpur workshop, Mr Prasad said Sonepur and Munger rail projects would be completed by the end of 2009 and conctruction works on the projects were on with full intensity.

'' Railways would construct cold storages in 7500 railway stations to facilitate farmers to sell their perishable agro produce in far flung areas of the country to fetch reasonable prices'', he added.

''Despite allegations of cases of travelling without tickets in Bihar, the railway's revenue collection in this state was the highest,'' Mr Prasad remarked.
